Ingredients
– All Natural:
- Lard: Lard mimics our natural skin oils. It has the same ph balance and lipid balance as our skin does. It also has natural collagen. Pigs are fantastic at processing sunlight and store it as Vitamin D in their fat. When we rub lard on our skin, our skin takes in that Vitamin D, helping to reduce dark spots and lines, reduce acne, & promote collagen production, and reduce inflammation, which is a common factor in conditions such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. Rich in omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin E and Vitamin A (1,5). It’s packed full of vitamins to give us healthy glowing skin! But the greatest part is that we raise our own heritage hogs right here on the farm at God’s Little Acre and each pig is loved and cuddled throught it’s life! So when you use an Oil of Joy product that contains lard, you’re taking in that LOVE right into your skin!
- Coconut Oil: Moisturizing, Anti-aging, Antioxidant protection, Wound healing, Skin Conditions, Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne, Antimicrobial properties, Softens and smooths, uneven skin tone, redness and irritation
- Olive Oil: Moisturizing, Anti-inflammatory, Exfoliating, Reducing wrinkles, Healing wounds, Softening skin, Removing makeup, Protecting from the sun

Skin: Lavender can soothe skin irritations and help with skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, and psoriasis. It contains compounds called linalool and linalyl acetate that fight inflammation.

Of course you need to add lye and water to make soap, but the soapification process completely uses up the lye (sodium hydroxide) during the soap-making process, meaning that no lye remains in the finished soap. The soap smells SO GOOD and helps sooth some itchy patches I sometimes get this time of year. I appreciate how long it lasts down to the last sliver. Some home made soaps dissolve all too quickly.

I was given a sample of this soap with my order of deodorant. I have had so many allergies all my life that I have to be extremely careful when I introduce anything new to my body. Any new fragrance can send me into a horrible battle with a clogged up sinus headache. If I hug someone in church who has a strong cologne on, I have to take a shower as soon as I get home so as to not set off my sensitive allergies. I started using the soap when I first got it, but at the time I was battling this bug that has been going around and I knew that I couldn’t give it a fair trial until my head and chest cleared up.
After finally getting well from the lingering bug, I was able to give it a try and see if I would be able to use it. As with the deodorant, this is another product that I can trust that doesn’t set off my allergies! The faint fragrance of natural essential oils is there, but it’s not so strong as to cause an allergic reaction for sensitive persons like myself! After showering with it this morning, I still have clear sinus cavities this afternoon. I LOVE the packaging! You feel extra blessed just by the information in the packaging. I highly recommend this soap to anyone who doesn’t want toxic chemicals spread over their skin while feeling naturally clean and fresh coming out of the shower. I realize that there may be people with different types of allergies than what I have, but I am a very allergically sensitive person and this one passed the test for me!

This soap is fantastic! The scent is subtle, not overwhelming, which is great for this mostly scent-free gal. It lathers well and leaves my skin feeling clean, soft, and smooth. Thank you, ladies, for an excellent product!
